What:  Join representatives from Apprenticeship Minnesota at the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry to learn about registered apprenticeship and the benefits of growing and sustaining an innovative workforce. As a strategy to meet your need for skilled workers while increasing engagement and retention, registered apprenticeship offers a time-tested employee training system that can be customized to meet the needs of any business. Attendees will also hear from representatives from Wilder Foundation, who will discuss Minnesota's changing demographics and implications for workforce development and economic well-being. Additionally, Ed Godfrey from the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs will share the options and benefits available for veterans through the Minnesota G.I. Bill. There is no cost to attend.

When and where:  9 to 11 a.m., Feb. 27, 2020, at the Canal Park Lodge, North Shore Room, Duluth, MN 55802.

April 9, 2020:  Apprenticeship Summit, Rochester

What:  Join us April 9, 2020, in Rochester for an informative half-day event about registered apprenticeship, and learn how this time-tested model can help employers recruit, train and retain a highly skilled workforce while helping workers develop in-demand skills and earn a quality wage. 

Who should attend:  Educators and school counselors, workforce development professionals, community-based organizations and employers seeking strategies to develop their workforce.

When and where:  1 to 5 p.m. Thursday, April 9, 2020, at the Rochester Event Center, 7333 Airport View Drive SW, Rochester, MN  55902.
