Introduction to Apprenticeship – Multiple dates and locations

What:  Join representatives from Apprenticeship Minnesota at the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry to learn about registered apprenticeship and the benefits of growing and sustaining an innovative workforce. As a strategy to meet your need for skilled workers while increasing engagement and retention, registered apprenticeship offers a time-tested employee training system that can be customized to meet the needs of any business. Additionally, Ed Godfrey from the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs will share the options and benefits available for veterans through the Minnesota G.I. Bill. There is no cost to attend.

  • Brainerd:  April 21, 2020 – Postponed
    9 to 10 a.m. at the Brainerd Lakes Chamber of Commerce, 224 W. Washington St., Brainerd, MN  56401.

  • Mankato:   May 19, 2020 – Postponed
    9 to 10 a.m. at Mankato State University, 219 Centennial Student Union, Mankato, MN  56001. 

  • Moorhead:  June 17, 2020 – Register to attend.
    9 to 10 a.m. at the Hjemkomst Center, 202 First Ave. N., Moorhead, MN  56560.

  • Willmar:  July 14, 2020 – Register to attend.
    10 to 11 a.m. at Ridgewater College, 2101 15th Ave. NW, Willmar, MN 56201. 


Postponed:  Southeast Minnesota Apprenticeship Summit, Rochester

What:  This event will be an informative, half-day event to learn more about the Department of Labor and Industry’s vision for the future of registered apprenticeship, workforce goals for Minnesota and building upon the best practices and successes of this time-tested, earn-as-you-learn model to ensure greater opportunity for all. We will explore the benefits of registered apprenticeship, hear from apprenticeship program sponsors and subject-matter experts, and participate in speed-networking to build community connections and partnership opportunities.
