2026 draft occupation competency models

Each year, Minnesota Dual-Training Pipeline works to add new occupations eligible for dual training programming.

An important part of that process is gathering feedback from stakeholders who are experts on the new occupations. Below are links to draft competency models of proposed occupations in health care services, the legal cannabis industry and transportation. In addition, there are surveys for each potential new occupation to let the Pipeline team know if they captured the correct competencies for each.

Please consider reviewing the new occupations and completing the corresponding surveys by Oct. 30, 2026.

Once survey data is reviewed, staff will convene a competency council meeting for each industry of focus to discuss the results and make any necessary changes to the models. Final drafts of any new occupations will be shared at Industry Forums in November with one last chance for feedback before adding the new occupations in December.
