First time users must register for an account. View step-by-step instructions.
Important:

The email address you enter will be your user ID. It will be used for all project communications and cannot be changed later.

You may register with a shared email address if multiple staff will monitor permits.
Independent unit operators
Once your account is created, you can apply for your permit. If you own multiple units, separate permits are required for each unit.
Carnival, circus, road construction contractors and similar transitory enterprises
Your user account must be linked to a transitory event operator (TEO) record before applying for permits. Multiple user accounts can be linked to a TEO record.

To request account setup, complete the transitory event operator account request.

Email the form to dli.electricity@state.mn.us.

Intake staff will link the accounts and notify you when you can apply for permits.
