What is this project?

Apprenticeship Minnesota is launching a research project to learn more about the apprenticeship experience and identify ways to help apprentices complete their programs and pursue successful careers.

Why is this project conducted?

Our objective is to offer resources and tools that help apprentices complete their programs and succeed in their chosen field.

How will this be done?

This project uses survey feedback to develop resources that will help registered apprentices overcome challenges.

Who will be surveyed?

Three groups will be surveyed: current apprentices, employers and sponsors, and former apprentices who are currently journeyworkers. Each group will be invited to participate in a different survey tailored to them.

Where can I find the survey?

  • For current apprentices, please give your input via the Apprentice Survey to help Apprenticeship Minnesota better support you and your peers.

  • For employers and sponsors, please give your input via the Employer/Sponsor Survey. Your perspective is important and appreciated. We hope the tools and resources will further help apprentices in your program succeed.

  • For former apprentices who are current journeyworkers, please give your input via the Journeyworker Survey. Your experience as a former apprentice and your perspective as a journeyworker are invaluable to the process of developing helpful tools and resources.

When is this project happening?

Surveys are launched in early October 2019. The project will conclude in January 2020.
