Department of Labor and Industry (DLI) Commissioner Nancy Leppink and the agency’s PIPELINE and Youth Skills Training (YST) Programs will host roundtable events to celebrate successful programs in the White Bear Lake and St. Louis Park, Minnesota, areas. The events will bring together key partners for each program, elected officials and DLI team members to lay out the design of the programs and discuss experiences to help address critical workforce challenges in health care and advanced manufacturing.

  • The White Bear Lake roundtable discussion featuring local PIPELINE and Youth Skills Training programs is 9 to 10:30 a.m., April 5, 2019, at The Specialty Manufacturing Co., 5858 Centerville Road, White Bear Lake.

  • The St. Louis Park roundtable discussion featuring local PIPELINE and Youth Skills Training programs is 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., April 8, 2019, at Twin West Chamber of Commerce, 1600 Utica Avenue S., St. Louis Park.

Attendees are invited to share their PIPELINE and Youth Skills Training programs with local elected officials, network with other business leaders and learn about each program’s innovative approach to addressing current and future workforce challenges. Focusing on advanced manufacturing, agriculture, automotive, health care, and information technology, the programs support partners and employers with consulting and program development.
