Mental health support in construction grant
About the grant
Two Minnesota organizations – the Associated General Contractors of Minnesota Foundation and Suicide Awareness Voices of Education – were selected to receive funding through the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry's (DLI's) Mental Health Support in Construction grant program.
With these grants, the organizations will create outreach and engagement programs, develop practical resources and implement worksite strategies aimed at promoting mental well-being and preventing suicide among construction workers.
The Mental Health Support in Construction grant program is now closed.
The available grant funds for qualified organizations were $750,000.
The grant period goes from Feb. 1, 2026, through Dec. 31, 2027.
Objective
The purpose of this grant was to create outreach and engagement programming and develop resources and worksite strategies to promote mental health and prevent suicide in the construction industry.
