Work Comp Campus, the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry's (DLI's) new web-based portal for filing and accessing workers' compensation claims, rolled out Nov. 2, 2020. Municipalities that have established a formal agreement with us to review plumbing plans are available in the plumbing plan review agreement list. Municipalities that have the formal agreement are authorized to review plumbing plans in lieu of our agency, with the exception of state projects listed in Minnesota Statutes 326B.43 Subdivision 2(n). State projects must be submitted to our office for plan review.

Minnesota Rules, Chapter 1323, Commercial Energy Code The Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry requests comments on its possible amendment to Minnesota Rules, chapter 1323, “Commercial Energy Code.” The Department is considering rule amendments that incorporate by reference ANSI/ASHRAE/IES Standard 90.1 Energy Standard for Buildings Except Low-Rise Residential Buildings, with amendments, and any other amendments necessary to administer and enforce the Commercial Energy Code.

Prevailing wages are the wages required to be paid on state-funded construction projects. Wage rates are certified once a year in both highway/heavy and commercial-type construction. Minnesota's prevailing wage law (Minnesota Statutes 177.41 through 177.44) requires employees working on state-funded construction projects covered by law be paid wage-rates comparable to wages paid for similar work in the area where the project is located.
