Second offering Purpose During the first application period of the 2024 BOT grants, there were eight grants available and five were awarded (see first offering below). Now, a second application period is open to allow competition for the remaining three grants. Application period The application period for the second offering of the 2024 BOT Grant program opens Feb. 12, 2024, and ends at 4 p.m., March 1, 2024.
Apprenticeship Minnesota announced $210,000 in grants available for the operation of Labor Education Advancement Programs (LEAP) in October 2017. The purpose of LEAP is to help community-based organizations increase the participation of women and minorities in registered apprenticeship. There are currently more than 11,000 active apprentices in Minnesota. However, women and minorities are underrepresented. The grant's performance period is Jan. 1, 2018, through June 30, 2019. Application deadline Applications were accepted through Nov. 13, 2017.
DLI announces the availability of $30,000 grant for the Women’s Economic Security Act (WESA) to encourage, promote, increase and support the participation of women and people of color in apprenticeship programs registered with the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry.
St. Paul — Minnesota employers will benefit from $3.347 million in Dual Training Grants from the Minnesota Office of Higher Education to fund related instruction of dual-training programs. Of the funds awarded, $1.9 million was awarded to employers located in greater Minnesota.
