  • Apprenticeship bus tour - Minneapolis:  Apprenticeship Minnesota guides local and state policy makers on a tour of three state-of-the-art construction apprenticeship training facilities in Minneapolis.


Wednesday, Nov. 14

  • Apprenticeship bus tour - Duluth:  Apprenticeship Minnesota guides local and state policy makers on a tour of three state-of-the-art construction apprenticeship training facilities in Duluth.

  • Apprenticeship Panel: Dakota-Scott County Workforce Development Board
    8-9 a.m., Dakota County Northern Service Center, 1 Mendota Rd., West St. Paul, MN, 55118
    An employer panel to discuss how registered apprenticeship has impacted their businesses and their efforts to recruit, train and retain top talent. Open to the public.

  • Open House: Fairview Health Services

    An open house to showcase medical assistant and surgical technologist apprenticeship programs to the public.

  • Apprenticeship Employer Panel and Hiring Event
    9-10 a.m., panel; 10 a.m.-noon hiring event. Anoka County Workforce Center, 1201 89th Ave. NE, Blaine, MN, 55434
    An employer panel to discuss how registered apprenticeship has impacted their businesses and their efforts to recruit, train and retain top talent. Open to the public.

  • Open House: LiUNA MN/ND - Construction Laborers Education, Apprenticeship and Training Fund of MN and ND

    An open house to showcase its apprenticeship program to the public.

  • Apprenticeship Roundtable: From High School to Apprenticeship
    2-4 p.m., North Central States Regional Council of Carpenters: Twin Cities Carpenters Training Center, 740 Olive St., St. Paul, MN 55130
    This roundtable will include a discussion of apprenticeship as a path for helping the next generation finding their career in the new economy. Participants will share their perspectives and strategies for engaging students, parents and educators about the benefits of registered apprenticeship. Resources will be available to students to help connect them to apprenticeships in high-growth and in-demand occupations. Open to the public.

Thursday, Nov. 15

  • Apprenticeship Roundtable: Women in Apprenticeship
    1:30-3:30 p.m., Finishing Trades Institute of the Upper Midwest, 3205 Country Dr.,Ste 150, Little Canada, MN 55117
    Women apprentices, apprenticeship instructors and journeyworker mentors in the building trades will join in a conversation sharing their perspectives about successful recruiting and retention strategies that continue to increase the number of women seeking a construction career.

    Exploring and developing quality mentorship strategies and groups to support and retain apprentices on their journey to completing their apprenticeship.
