June 25, 2015 -- Facilitated discussion opportunity for long-term-care facilities
Minnesota OSHA Workplace Safety Consultation invites safe-patient-handling practioners to a facilitated discussion about issues being faced in long-term-care settings around safely handling residents.

Session added! Now offered Aug. 26 and Aug. 27, 2015 -- Principles of Safe Patient Handling and Mobiity
The Aug. 26 session filled up so fast, we've added another session on Aug. 27.

This is an educational seminar presented by Hakan Skenhede from Handicare, a leading safe-patient-handling company. Skenhede works with clinicians worldwide to improve patient mobility. This interactive presentation will surely inspire, motivate and excite even the more experienced safety, therapy, ergonomics, nursing and SPHM professionals.

About the event

Minnesota OSHA Workplace Safety Consultation and the Minnesota Safety Council presented the second annual full-day Minnesota Safe Patient Handling and Movement Program on May 14, during the 79th Annual Minnesota Safety and Health Conference at the Minneapolis Convention Center.

The full-day workshop was open to anyone interested in the most recent information about safe patient-handling. The sessions provided health care professionals, safety professionals and administrators in acute and long-term-care settings with the best information available about the development, implementation and maintenance of a safe-patient-handling program. Representatives from hospitals, clinics and skilled nursing care facilities discussed efforts aimed at promoting safe patient-handling while cultivating a healthy workforce and ensuring quality of care.
