Electrical bond information

Minnesota Statute 326B.33, subd. 15 requires each licensed electrical contractor to maintain a  $25,000 surety bond as a condition of licensure as a contractor. Each contractor’s bond is submitted to DLI along with the contractor’s license application at each license renewal. The bond is conditioned upon the faithful and lawful performance of all work entered upon by the contractor within the state of Minnesota and is for the benefit of persons injured or suffering financial loss by reason of failure of such performance.
