Water conditioning

New license, certification and registration fees effective July 1, 2015 (PDF).

A license is required for a water conditioning installer or contractor. Licensed water conditioning persons can only install and service water conditioning equipment in single-family dwellings. A water conditioning installer's or contractor's license must be renewed annually and should be carried at all times on a work site.

The state may take action against a water conditioning installer or contractor who does non-complying work. Possible actions against water conditioning installers or contractors include invocation of a performance bond for failure to perform contracted work, or plumbing code compliance bond to correct non-complying work or administrative penalties that may result in monetary fines up to $10,000 as well as licensure suspension or revocation penalties.
