2010 disciplinary actions, revocations, suspensions

Effective Dec. 1, 2007, several changes occurred in the laws and rules regulating the licensing of electricians and the inspection of electrical installations. A few worth noting are:

Pursuant to Minn. Stat. 326B.082, subd.. 1, the commissioner may assess a monetary penalty against any person required to have a license or registration under the applicable law.
Pursuant to Minn. Stat. 326B.082, subd.. 11 ( c ), if the commissioner revokes a person's license or registration, the person is prohibited from reapplying for the same type of license or registration for a least two years after the effective date of the revocation. As a condition of reapplication, the commissioner may require the person to obtain a bond or comply with additional reasonable conditions the commissioner considers necessary to protect the public.
Pursuant to Minn. Stat. 326B.33, subd.. 7, an individual whose personal license has been revoked, shall be required to retake the examination before being issued a new license.
