Minnesota OSHA Workplace Safety Consultation and the Minnesota Safety Council presented the second annual full-day Minnesota Safe Patient Handling and Movement Program on May 14, during the 79th Annual Minnesota Safety and Health Conference at the Minneapolis Convention Center.
The full-day workshop was open to anyone interested in the most recent information about safe patient-handling. The sessions provided health care professionals, safety professionals and administrators in acute and long-term-care settings with the best information available about the development, implementation and maintenance of a safe-patient-handling program. Representatives from hospitals, clinics and skilled nursing care facilities discussed efforts aimed at promoting safe patient-handling while cultivating a healthy workforce and ensuring quality of care.
