Workplace Safety Consultation -- Ergonomics

Photo, man with back painIntroduction

Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) are one of the most prevalent and
costly safety and health problems in the workplace today. MSDs include disorders of the muscles, nerves, tendons, ligaments, joints, cartilage
and the spinal discs.

Ergonomics is the science of fitting work conditions and job demands to
the capabilities of the work population. The goal of ergonomics is to
reduce stress, injuries and disorders associated with the overuse of muscles, awkward postures and repetitive tasks.

Workplace Safety Consultation provides ergonomics assistance to businesses to help them proactively address ergonomics issues in the workplace.
