This annual report gives information about Minnesota's job-related injuries, illnesses and fatalities. Data sources for the injuries, illnesses and fatalities are the Survey of Occupational Injuries and Illnesses and the Census of Fatal Occupational Injuries, both conducted jointly by the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry and U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Information about Minnesota OSHA activities and programs is also presented, based on administrative statistics collected by the agency.
Note: Because of data processing errors, U.S. private-sector estimates of nonfatal injuries and illnesses were incorrectly published in 2011 and 2012. No state-level or government-sector estimates were affected. Figures that compare Minnesota rates with national rates are not accurate and should not be used.
