Initial denials of indemnity claims

In this figure, the underlying data develops over time for each injury year. If nothing is done about this issue, the trends are biased because the data for each succeeding year is progressively less mature. These numbers develop over time. Because the developed number for any injury year is an estimate of the ultimate number, it is always subject to revision.
