Minnesota minimum-wage report -- This series of occasional reports describes trends in Minnesota's population of hourly minimum-wage workers since 1997 and presents characteristics of these workers. The report deals with minimum-wage workers within the population of all hourly workers age 15 years and older in Minnesota. The statistics are estimates computed from the Current Population Survey (CPS), conducted monthly by the U.S. Census for the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Minnesota Workers' Compensation System Report -- This annual report analyzes data to examine the size and cost of Minnesota's workers' compensation system and provides a foundation for further consideration. The purpose of the report is to describe statistically the current status and direction of workers' compensation in Minnesota and to offer explanations, where possible, for recent developments.
Minnesota Workplace Safety Report -- This annual report gives information about Minnesota's job-related injuries, illnesses and fatalities. Data sources for the injuries, illnesses and fatalities are the Survey of Occupational Injuries and Illnesses and the Census of Fatal Occupational Injuries, both conducted jointly by the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry and the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Information about Minnesota OSHA activities and programs is also presented, based on administrative statistics collected by the agency.
Recession and workers' compensation costs -- This 2002 report examines the effects of the 2001 recession on claims filing and claim costs.
Why did claim rates fall in the 1990s? -- This 2002 report examines changes in injury rates and claiming propensity.
