About the seminarsMinnesota OSHA's free construction seminars feature a presentation about a specific construction safety or health topic -- with time for questions, answers and input -- plus an update from MNOSHA Compliance about what's currently happening regarding investigations.
All sessions are from 7 to 9 a.m., at the Minnesota Department of Health, Snelling Office Park, 1645 Energy Park Drive, St. Paul (get directions and a map). Free parking is available.
There is no fee for the seminars, but participants are still asked to pre-register for each seminar. Attendees are welcome to bring their own food and beverages.
March 13, 2012 --
New residential construction fall-protection instruction guidance mandated
by federal OSHA
Since June 16, 2011, employers engaged in residential construction must
comply with the mandatory guidance plan Subpart M, 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13),
rather than follow the former OSHA Instruction STD 03-00-001 interim
enforcement policy on fall protection for specified residential construction
activities. This seminar will detail the required changes that will simplify
the new fall-protections requirements and help residential construction
employers and employees understand what must be done to assure
fall-protection safety.
Presented by Minnesota OSHA Principal Safety Investigator Bob Darling
