| Answer: | Compliance with U.B.C. Sec. 310.4 is required. |
| Situation #2: | A building is moved into or within the jurisdiction. The sleeping
rooms do not comply with Sec. 310.4. |
| Answer #2: | (Same as answer #1) UBC Sec. 3404 requires that "buildings or
structures moved into or within the jurisdiction shall comply with the
provisions of this code for new buildings or structures." |

Division comments: |
Division Comments: UBC Section 104.2.7 permits modifications in code
enforcement where there are "practical difficulties." This may be
considered in both situations particularly if the house was built under
a previous code that may have allowed a 48 inch sill height or 5.0
square feet in openable area. |
