Spring seminars canceled
Due to budget cuts, Labor and Industry is not able to offer any CCLD, Electrical Code or Manufactured structures seminars in Spring 2010. The agency apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause. Please refer back to this Web site for updates about future seminars.

This chapter of the state building code adopts a national standard for the installation of electrical wiring, apparatus, and equipment for electric light, heat, power, technology circuits and systems, and alarm and communication systems. Minnesota's electrical code consists of the 2008 National Electrical Code as published by the National Fire Protection Association.

2008 NEC

All installations where the Request for Electrical Inspection was filed with DLI on or after Sept. 15, 2008 (the date of adoption) are required to be in compliance with the 2008 National Electrical Code.
