Minnesota Special Application (PDF)
The Minnesota Special program is for boilers and pressure vessels that are already in service that were not built to the ASME Code and or registered with the National Board. This process will not be used for the construction of new vessels.
Consider this process the same as the construction of a new vessel. If a Code requirement must be addressed for a new vessel then it must be addressed for a Minnesota Special.
